BETTER HEALTHCARE
Heath has been a major concern of Jomvu Kuu people for a long time. Health
institutions and facilities face their greatest threat for a generation.
Ojays promises to rescue and heal
the centers, push the central government to invest in their
future and join up services from home to hospital.
He will push to see that the cost of everyday healthcare has stagnated as this has
left families facing a cost of living crisis and unable to meet their health cost.
He will tackle long waits and staff shortages, and put patients first through the help of the county goverment. WATER FOR ALL
As the fundamental and irreplaceable source of life for the eco-system, water is a vital good, which belongs to all the inhabitants of the Earth. Water is the patrimony of mankind. Agriculture, industry and domestic life are intimately linked to its unsubstituable character means that the whole human community and each of its members must have the right of access to water, and in particular, drinking water, in the necessary quantity and quality indispensable to life on earth. There is no production of wealth without access to water.
ECD EDUCATION
ECD EDUCATION
All children in JOMVU KUU ward and all over the jOMVU KUU WARD should receive a high standard of
education that sets them up for the future. Today, however, too many children are
aflling behind and the path from education into a good career is far less certain than it used to be. As your incoming MCA JOSHUA ONGAU MOSES I will push for investment in and reform education so that all children have
the best possible start, all benefit from good schools and colleges wherever they live and standards are raised through high quality teaching.
We will give all young people the opportunity to excel through a standard vocational education and more quality apprenticeships.
Here’s how we will improve education for all children and young people...................
Ojays will give every child a good start. Ojays will push to protect the entire education budget so that it rises in line with education,
from the early years through to secondary education and skills.
He will push to
cap class sizes for children less than six year olds.
He will end the wasteful and poorly performing Free Schools programme and use the money to cap infant class sizes at 30 pupils or fewer.
He will push to raise teaching standards by requiring every teacher to become qualified
and continue to update their skills and knowledge
by supporting
plans for a College of Teaching by use of the Technical Universities around.
He will push to turn around under performing schools by introducing new
Directors of School Standards in every area to monitor the performance of
local schools and support them to improve.
He will guarantee all young people face to face careers advice, with personalised,
independent guidance on the different routes available to them.
ACCESIBILITY TO BUSSARIES FOR ALL
One of his central purposes is the provision of education in Jomvu Kuu. The bodies that are committed to the provision of scholarships and bursaries designed to widen access to the education that the government provides. He will push to make sure bursaries are awarded with transparency and that they benefit the people who need them most. This will ensure needy students in Jomvu Kuu ward have joined schools with the help of bursaries from the county government. He will ensure that the criteria used to select students for bursaries is revised.
WOMEN AND YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
He wants the next generation to have greater opportunities than the last, but as for now, the way things stand this is at risk. He will push to make sure that the central government enables and makes sure there are opportunities for all our young people and women in Jomvu Kuu by raising school standards, transforming vocational education and guaranteeing an apprenticeship for every young person. To do this he will have to begin by
prioritizing an education system that works for all the
children and young people at large.
supporting plans for a College of Teaching.
He will make sure there are options for young people who don’t want to
pursue the traditional academic route.
He will guarantee an apprenticeship to every school leaver so that young
people who don’t go to university can get the skills they need. He will push for any
firm that gets a large government contract to offer apprenticeships.
He will make sure there are opportunities for all our young people.
