“It is difficult for me here because I don’t receive any support from home, my parents have nothing and struggles for  meal  in a day back upcountry, am all alone in Mombasa, hence not enough to assist me financially. I have had to depend on my hustles to cater for daily fare from Jomvu to Mombasa town, for food and shelter,” he told #JomvuWeWant
Narrating how he came to find himself in such a situation, he said right from his first year of study at the Mount Kenya University, the delayed payment of his school fees and maintenance fee came as a result of him absconding classes to hustle for fare, Rent and Fees and got worse as time went on.
Apart from this, his school fees is expected to shoot  that he can’t afford it and have to raise two times the amount to pay his second semester and final year fees, respectively.

  1. Its so unfortunate that some of the best disadvantaged students who have the chance of joining universities or even further their education are not recognised and helped, yet we want our local areas to dvelope..its so unfortunate..over the last 3years jomvu has been able to produce some of the best students and at the moment they are struggling to make ends meet...so unfortunate...lets not help only one student but all those that are disadvantaged..
