Hon Karisa Nzai take on Education--- "For the future success of our beloved Jomvu constituency, we must continue to invest in education. The performance of our schools in national examinations, both at primary and secondary schools must improve tremendously. My plan is to make the general performance in our schools in Jomvu to be the best in Mombasa County (among rural schools) within three years with a view to see the schools being one of the best performing first at the constituency level, then to the county level as we put improved means for being also the best in the country UNLIKE what the current mp has done, building half school wall instead of classrooms, toilets or drilling of a borehole." 

  Good education is much more than passing national examinations. It means also preparing the pupils/students for responsibilities ahead as adults.
Whereas in the mean time we can do nothing about that, we can make the best out of it by strategizing and planning well so that our pupils and students can excel. With inputs here and there, we can enormously improve education in our constituency.

Whereas in the mean time we can do nothing about that, we can make the best out of it by strategizing and planning well so that our pupils and students can excel. With inputs here and there, we can enormously improve education in our constituency.
Karisa Nzai intend among other things do the following to achieve good performance in our schools:

• To encourage better performance, excellence should be rewarded. He will introduce various annual awards in Jomvu to recognize outstanding teachers, pupils, schools, sports & cultural performance.
• Retraining teachers through organizing various seminars where particular subject heads in schools can meet and discuss or exchange experiences and ideas. Guest speakers could be invited from e.g. schools that excel nationally in particular subjects.
• To develop a system for monitoring, following, helping and encouraging pupils and students talented in sports. If a pupil has talents in football or running for example, he/she should be allowed to practice it throughout the year. It is ridiculous to force such a pupil to be involved in athletics simply because it is a term for athletics.
• Establish a constituency public library in all the divisions in Jomvu where the public can borrow novels, use internet and read magazines or newspapers. Most of the books will come from donations abroad or my local and international network.
• Emphasis on science and mathematics at all schools in Jomvu, both at primary and secondary schools.
• I will consult with representatives of all educationists in SE i.e. teachers, educational officers, pupils/students or any interested parties to find out other ways of improving the education in our constituency.
